With its tart, fruity flavour, sloe is a great addition to our salads. It’s delicious on its own, drizzled over a salad, but you can also make a vinaigrette with olive oil, peanut oil or your favourite cold-pressed oil, mixed with salt and pepper to taste, to make a delicious dressing.
Season your favourite soup or stew with a tablespoon of sloe balsamic vinegar. Its pleasantly tart taste makes it the perfect accompaniment to any classic sour dish.
We highly recommend it with meats, whether you use it as a dressing for ready-roasted meats or just add a few drops to your finished dish.
Feel free to mix it into an oily meat marinade and leave the meat to rest for an hour or two. Then fry it in a pan or oven, the vinegar will make the result much softer and more tender.
